✍️ Technical Writing
DW GuideI collaborated with a few programmers to build this onboarding wiki using Retype, a static website generator. This site is formatted in Markdown and hosted using GitHub Pages. The goal of the project was to update and port existing documentation that was previously hosted using Discord channels and Google Docs. As project manager, I focused on the overall user experience; organizing layout, copywriting, and giving input on the UI. Through this project, I became familiarised with the Git workflow and version control system.
Assorted Patch NotesWorking closely with Triumph Studio's Quality Assurance (QA) team, I formatted regular patch notes for almost all Age of Wonders 4 updates. Specifically, I ensured that images were displayed correctly, coordinated posting times, and managed community sentiment following release. Patch notes were formatted using BBcode on company-owned forums and Steam.
📚 Narrative Design
The Continent of EoI worked as Lead Writer on this extensive TTRPG lore supplement, which serves as an introduction to a fantasy expansion with nature and wilderness themes. It contains over 30 pieces of lore for D&D-based subclasses, four major regions, and a glossary based on the fictional Sylvan language. The document was iterated over the course of a few months, taking into account editor feedback and feature requests from other departments.
Choose Your Own Adventure Series
As a DLC teaser campaign, I wrote a multi-part Choose Your Own Adventure series on Twitter. Users were able to vote on branching paths using integrated polls. Regardless, at the end the title of the new DLC, Dragon Dawn, was revealed. This initiative brought high engagement to the channel, with an average of 600 votes per post. With the success of the first teaser campaign, I also wrote similar adventures for the next few DLC announcements, linked in the above document. This series taught me to tell a compelling story through a strict word count, learn how to merge branching choices into a common ending, and remain consistent with the brand's tone.
